5 Senses

We are learning about the 5 senses in reception this half term. We have been learning a song, here is the link so you can have a go at home.

This week we have been thinking about our eyes. We made some binoculars.

We also thought about what life would be like if we couldn't see. The children found it really funny when we blindfolded Mrs Curran and we soon realised it was hard to get around without being able to see.

We decided that we needed to use one of our other senses, touch, to help us get around. Mrs Curran could tell where she was in the classroom by feeling around. The children then loved having a go themselves.
They were really caring and guided their partner around very carefully.
