Something spoooooky

We have transformed our role play area into a witches and wizards kitchen. The children will be able to dress up, make potions in cauldrons, write recipes and read spooky stories. It will be open after the holidays.

Printing...

Yesterday we collected lots of leaves to use in our classroom. On the creative table today we did some leaf printing! We painted the trunk of a tree, then printed the leaves on top.

Some children wanted to use their hands to print the leaves, others wanted to stick leaves on top of the leaf prints.

Autumn hedgehogs

We have been learning about the different animals we see in Autumn. The children made hedgehogs using playdough, sticks, spaghetti and googly eyes.

Here are our finished hedgehogs!

Wet and Windy Autumn Walk

Well it was a blustery day but we still made it to the park, despite the rain!

The children looked for leaves to put in their bags. The leaves were very wet.

When we were sorting through the leaves we found some insects! A big spider which we think had a sack of eggs on her back. We passed the spider around the classroom, some children were very brave and held the spider in the pot.

We also found a ladybird in the leaves. The children released the ladybird into our out door area.
