Funky fingers!

The challenge for this week is to sort the different sized seeds! It has been very popular already!

What's In The Egg?

The children found a nest with two eggs in in our garden today. We looked for clues about what could be inside, then drew pictures of our ideas.

Wild Boar Park!

We had a fantastic day today. First we got on the minibuses ready to start our journey.
The children were really excited for the day ahead. After numerous shouts of "Are we there yet?" We finally arrived. We were given drinks of juice when we arrived while Farmer Tom told us some rules of the park. It was very important to wash our hands after touching any animals!
We got to hold the chicks first. The children were asked to make a straw nest on their knee for the chicks to sit in.
We then moved on to feeding the lambs. The lambs made the children's arms jiggle!
Next Farmer Tom took us on a walk around the park to see pigs, wild boar, wallabies and the river.
It was time for our picnic after the walk. Lots of children had been desperate to eat for the whole morning!
The weather was really beautiful so we sat outside to eat. Next it was time for the tractor ride. It was really bumpy and at the top there were some donkeys!
farmer Tom then showed us how to feed some deer, llamas, sheep and donkeys and we were really brave letting the animals lick the food off our hands.
Finally, we stopped off at the park to complete a fun, but tiring day!
All of the excitement was too much for some children, we had some snorers on the way back to school!

Washing hands!

Ahead of our trip tomorrow, where we will be handling animals, we were talking about the importance of washing our hands thoroughly. We used a special device to show the children whether they had washed their hands thoroughly.
They rubbed uv cream into their hands, then out them under a UV light. The children then had to go and wash their hands until none of the cream could be seen. Some children took multiple attempts at washing properly.
