Friday fun time!

X marks the spot!

As part of our pirate theme, the children made treasure maps today. We ripped the edge off paper and used wet tea bags to colour the paper. This made it look old - perfect for a treasure map.

Oooh arrrr!

We did some pirate writing this week, the children enjoyed describing the features of the Pirates they were writing about. 

Book nook!

The children were really excited to see our new. Book nook this morning. They can go underneath or above to spend some quiet time reading a book or singing a song.

Measuring

We have been measuring things in our classroom today. We used a tape measure, the children looked at which number the objects reached. 

Hairdressers in RRH

The children have loved playing in the new hairdressers today. 

They even had a go with my hair!

Doing some research

Yesterday the children were split into groups, each group was given a sea creature to find out about. We used the iPad to find out information and wrote it all down to remind us later. We then did some writing about the creature in our books. The children really enjoyed being investigators and finding out facts.
