Ahoy matey!

The children really enjoyed the pirate topic, here are some pictures from our pirate themed week!



We did some pirate writing, the children wrote labels for the pictures.

 Telescopes were made on the creative table!

The children each made a repeating pattern door hanger. We took a photograph of them dressed up as pirates to go onto it.

 Then we made hidden treasure jelly. The children put grapes in the bottom, ready to dig for later when the jelly had set.

 While the jelly was setting we played some pirate party games. The children had to climb the rigging, scrub the deck, salute the captain, pretend they had fallen overboard and walk with a peg leg!

 It was then time to dig for the treasure!
